Stòras Uibhist is the owner of the South Uist Estate which covers most of the islands of Eriskay, South Uist and Benbecula. The company’s new website details its interests and activities, from crofting and fishing to Grogarry Lodge and Askernish Golf Course. The members’ section contains a number of downloadable documents, including membership forms, board meeting reports, newsletters and press releases.

The website is available in both English and Gaelic.

Sgoil an Iochdair agus a’Choimhearsnachd (Eochar School and Community) are a small local charity who support recreation and sport in the catchment area of the school, from Peninerine in South Uist to Island Flodda, Benbecula. Their current big project is to improve the school playing fields, opening them out to wider community use.

The group’s new website brings together details of past projects and future plans, as well as news about current initiatives. Meeting minutes, policies and reports are also available. The Isle of Berneray community website (www.isleofberneray.com) was launched on the 3rd of May, 2005. The website contains information on how to visit Berneray and what to do on it once you are there. It also provides a one-stop place for details of all accommodation, businesses and services on the island. The centrepiece of the website is a gallery of pictures of life on the island.
